Jane Iredale SunBeam and MoonGlow Bronzers

Moonglow

So there are pretty much two types of bronzers out there: matte and shimmery. My raven-like tendecies always pull me to the shimmer, and these ones have 24-Karat gold! How luxurious!

I find they give a beautiful bronzed glow to the skin which is perfect for summer. These aren’t great for more mature skin though, the shimmer will highlight any lines that are there.

On to the specific products.

Jane Iredale offers two bronzing, mineral powder quads.  Moonglow is more golden and coppery while Sunbeam has more hints of pink.

With the four colours you can really customize how you use it. Make it lighter or darker by adjusting where you place the brush and how much you put on.

I’m particularily fond of the fact that you can use them as eyeshadows as well and have colours for the crease and highlighting.

Sunbeam

Sunbeam scares people for some reason. I think it’s because the bronzer portion in it is quite dark and more matte than Moonglow. The thing to remember is that it’s being mixed with the other colors as well.  You can use a big fluffy brush or the flat top Handi and press/lightly swirl it in the pan, the lightest color should sit on top of the cheekbone, the dark will swoop under and the pink/blush colors will sit on the apple. It pretty much contours your face for you!

Another bonus that I’ve always love about these is how long they last. Since you just use a light dusting on the cheek area, they really last. The ones at the spa that we used everyday on multiple people last about a year.

So there you go! If you’re looking for a bronzer/blush combo with a sophisticated shimmer (not glitter), customizable colors and tons of versatility you should take a look at Jane Iredale Moonglow and Sunbeam.

For the month of July blushes and bronzers at www.spaboutique.ca are 20% off with the code BRONZE09. This is a great opportunity to snage some beautiful products at a great price.
