American Crew: Mens Products That Smell Like Handsome

American Crew is a professional line that started out with hair care and then, thankfully, expanded into handsome smelling face and body stuffs with great ingredients. They focused on making men look AND feel good about themselves. Everything from the packaging, scent and the options available are designed to be man friendly and appealing. No fuss results.

Not tested on animals and containing no synthetic fragrances, they focus on using the extracts to stimulate and moisturize the skin and scalp.

The hair care line is fantastic. They have shampoos and conditioners for moisturizing, thickening and refreshing. I’m unclear as to exactly what the latter means, but am too intoxicated by the scent to care. Formerly Citrus Mint, the Refreshing Shampoo uses wheat protein to build and strengthen hair.

As for styling products they offer a stunning array of choices. Different combinations of hold and shine. Apparently this is key if they’re concerned about the perfect rumpled look.

While hair care is key, for me this lines real strength lies in the facial aspect. Mostly the shave oil.

If your man shaves, listen up. Drug store shave foam companies that ALSO sell razors put blade dullers in the shave foams. So they go through those horrifically expensive blades quicker. So diabolical. I’m not even going to get into the drying aspect of the foams.

American Crew Shave Oil contains nothing but the hydrating oils. Every guy I’ve given this to is now scarily obsessive. They put a few drops of oil onto the area and let it sit for a bit. This softens the beard making for a closer shave. Razor burn is almost non-existant, they can see where they’re shaving, it hydrates the skin during the process and my God does it smell good.

My favorite part about this line is just stepping back and watching guys who never really paid attention to products before, all of a sudden recognize quality. It won’t be right away, but as they get closer to finishing the product you can be guaranteed they’re going to mention it. The body wash doesn’t dry out their skin, shaving is better, hair feels healthier.

The one complaint I have heard from guys, is that the scent in the body wash has no real linger. But for some guys that’s a good thing. So it’s not a huge issue.

In conclusion, American Crew is a great quality line to gently ease men into a slightly more complex regime. Most importantly, they will notice a difference.
